Bodystrong South West streetlifting regionals 2025.... Micheal Portsmouth and Ash Steele took to the bars on the 13th of December in the south west streetlifting regionals. Mike was looking to improve on his last total in Londons regionals and Ash was getting his 1st taste of comp life.
Mike has spent the last 2 years, climbing the UK rankings. He has been relentless in his training and has entered multiple competitions this year alone. In this comp, he had a couple of scares on the dip bars which nearly ended in injury. But despite his last 2 lifts not counting, he still managed to match his impressive 300kg total from London. He hit new PBs in both chin up (70kg) and (145kg) on squat.
This was Ashes 1st ever competition and with a 217.5kg return, he has made an amazing start to his streetlifting career. He has only been training for a matter of months so its fair to say, the future is bright for the Califit althlete.
All in all, it was a great day at the office for both of them.
